A month ago, the survival of 4,460 hens on a central California egg farm depended solely on the actions of a few individuals.
Animal Place soon became one of the few organizations responsible for coordinating the largest rescue of farm animals in California history.

Being able to enjoy rolling in the dust, keeping themselves clean, is a right denied them on egg farms. We wish all chickens could enjoy this simple act.
